Newcastleton is a small village, and whilst there are B and Bs and hotel rooms available, there are not many! The majority of our visitors camp for the weekend; we welcome tents, camper vans and caravans, and there are two main festival campsite options.
The first is a more secure site, on the park in the middle of the village, next to the festival office and less than 5 minutes walk from all venues. We have a toilet block, a disabled toilet, a tap for drinking water and helpful volunteer staff on this site.
There is also camping available along the riverside that runs by the village. We provide a couple of portaloos here, and the area is patrolled by both festival volunteers and the police, but it is not a secure site.
There is a modest charge for either option – without this charge we would not be able to continue to provide the toilet facilities, which are far from cheap!
Main campsite: tent £20, caravan / camper £30, awning / gazebo £10, all per weekend. (We reserve the right to require an additional charge for very large units.)
Riverside camping: £5 per unit. Additional donations most welcome!

Neither site can be booked, in nearly fifty years we have never yet run out of camping space, so just turn up!

Please note: NO fires on the park campsite, and no fires on the grass on the riverside!

(Also, it has occasionally been known to rain in Newcastleton – if the ground becomes wet and your vehicle has problems moving, please do not keep trying, but seek a steward for assistance then we can limit any damage to the grass, cheers.)
